La legislazione liturgica delle chiese d'oriente

Nell’attuale normativa canonica le Chiese orientali non vengono definite più come «riti», ma come Chiese sui iuris, cioè come raggruppamenti di fedeli congiunti dalla gerarchia a norma del diritto, che la suprema autorità della Chiesa riconosce espressamente o tacitamente come sui iuris. Il termine «rito», invece, include il patrimonio liturgico, teologico e disciplinare, distinto per cultura e circostanze storiche dei popoli, che si esprime in un modo di vivere la fede proprio di ciascuna Chiesa sui iuris. Oggi le Chiese orientali cattoliche sono guidate da una legislazione liturgica contenuta anche nelle norme del Codice dei Canoni delle Chiese Orientali, ma in modo particolare dall’Istruzione per l’applicazione delle prescrizioni liturgiche del Codice dei Canoni delle Chiese Orientali. Gli obiettivi costituiscono un nucleo centrale dell’intera legislazione liturgica. La conservazione delle ricchezze liturgiche sarà tanto più fruttuosa quanto più essa sarà determinata non solo da interventi normativi, ma anche dall’adesione del popolo cristiano ai suoi pastori.
In the present canonical normative Oriental Churches are defined no longer as «Rites», but as Churches sui juris, i.e. as groups of faithful that are united by the hierarchy according to the right which the supreme Church authority explicitly or tacitly acknowledges as sui juris. The word «rite» on the contrary includes the liturgical, theological and normative legacy, that is different according to every people and historical circumstances and is expressed by the way in which every Church sui juris lives its faith. Today Oriental Catholic Churches are guided by a liturgical legislation that is contained also in the norms of Code of Canons of the Eastern Churches, but particularly by the Instruction for the enforcement of liturgical precepts of Code of Canons of the Eastern Churches. The purposes are the central core of the whole liturgical legislation. The preservation of liturgical riches shall be the more fruitful the more it shall be determined not only by normative interventions, but also by the adhesion of Christian people to their shepherds.
